HOUSTON – One person was transported to a hospital and another person was detained after a reported shooting overnight in South Houston.

The City of South Houston Police Department and the Houston Fire Department responded to a reported shooting around 2:30 a.m. in the 1300 block of Virginia Street.

One person was transported to a local hospital, and another person was detained at the scene.

Authorities have not confirmed that anyone was shot, and no additional details have been released regarding what led to the incident or whether any charges have been filed.
