Activist says Aubrey Taylor continues making false allegations despite public retraction and apology

HOUSTON, Texas — An activist has released a public statement alleging that political blogger Aubrey Taylor continues to publish false allegations about her despite what she says is a publicly filed retraction and apology from the individuals who originally made the claims.

In the statement, Dr. Matthews said Taylor has continued to repeat allegations about her and her family even though, according to court-filed documents she referenced, James and Beverly Enecio later executed and filed a Public Letter of Apology retracting those allegations.

According to Dr. Matthews, the letter states that the allegations were “false, incomplete, inaccurate, and defamatory” and apologizes for the harm caused.

Dr. Matthews questioned why allegations continue to be repeated after the original sources allegedly withdrew them.

“The public has every right to ask: Why continue repeating allegations that the original sources later publicly withdrew?” the statement reads.

Dr. Matthews said journalism and public commentary should present information fairly and accurately, particularly when later developments, such as a public retraction, contradict earlier allegations.

She encouraged the public to review the court-filed documents and evaluate the complete record rather than relying on isolated claims.

Dr. Matthews said she intends to continue responding with documented evidence and believes accountability applies to anyone who publishes or republishes serious allegations about another person.
