TEXAS — Dr. Candice Matthews and Quanell X visited a Popeyes Louisiana Kitchen restaurant on South Sam Houston Parkway West near Hillcroft Avenue in Southwest Houston earlier today to demand answers from management and call for a thorough investigation into allegations involving a customer’s order.
According to Quanell X, a customer purchased a meal at the restaurant over the weekend and later alleged discovering what they allege is a condom, embedded inside a piece of chicken. Quanell X said the customer documented the discovery on video, sought medical attention, and filed a police report.
During the visit, Quanell X and Dr. Matthews met with restaurant management and called on Popeyes to temporarily stop serving chicken at that location until the matter is fully investigated. They also urged the company to conduct a thorough internal investigation and requested that law enforcement assign a detective to investigate the customer’s allegations.
Quanell X said their concerns are directed at the specific restaurant involved and not the Popeyes brand as a whole. He said the company and law enforcement should determine exactly what occurred at the location.
As of publication, Popeyes did not respond to a request for comment.
