HOUSTON, Texas – A woman in her 20s was killed after running two red lights and crashing into another car at the intersection of Reveille Street and Telephone Road early Saturday morning.

According to the Houston Police Department, preliminary information indicates the woman was traveling southbound on Reveille Street at a high rate of speed around 1:40 a.m. when she ran two red lights before colliding with another vehicle at the intersection.

Responding units attempted lifesaving measures, but the woman was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The driver of the other vehicle suffered several injuries that did not appear to be life-threatening.

Police said each vehicle had one occupant.

The crash remains under investigation.
