HOUSTON — A 21-year-old man was critically injured after he was shot multiple times inside the La Plaza Apartments around 8:57 p.m. Aug. 28.

According to the Houston Police Department, a witness heard gunshots at the complex in the 5900 block of Glenmont Drive and saw a vehicle leave before crashing across the street.

Officers found the man on the ground with a gunshot wound to the right side of his abdomen and multiple wounds to his leg. Investigators said he was shot while inside his vehicle, then drove out of the complex and crashed.

Houston firefighters performed CPR before transporting him to a hospital in critical condition.
