HOUSTON – A man was found dead inside an overturned car at Cloverland Park early this morning.

Houston police said officers responded shortly after 12:30 a.m. to a reported major crash in the 3800 block of Hickok. Officers arrived and found a car on its side inside the park.

Houston Fire Department personnel responded and pronounced the man deceased.

Officers initially investigated the scene as a fatal crash but discovered evidence indicating the man may have been shot. The Houston Police Department’s Homicide Division responded and took over the investigation.

Police have not confirmed the death was a homicide. The medical examiner will determine the man’s cause of death.
