HOUSTON, TX – A 61-year-old motorcyclist was killed in a crash involving an SUV in the 9100 block of Irvington Boulevard around 7 a.m. yesterday.

Houston police said the man was traveling northbound on a black Honda motorcycle as a black Jeep Compass traveled southbound. The motorcycle struck the Jeep as its 30-year-old driver attempted to turn left.

Houston Fire Department paramedics pronounced the motorcyclist deceased at the scene. His identity is pending verification.

The woman driving the Jeep remained at the scene, showed no signs of intoxication and was questioned and released. The investigation remains ongoing.
