HOUSTON, TX – A body was dumped from a car in southwest Houston Saturday afternoon, prompting a police investigation.

Houston police said the body was found shortly before 3 p.m. in the 5700 block of Rampart Street.

Detectives received information that a car pulled up to the location, someone dumped the body and the car drove away, according to HPD.

Additional details were not immediately available.
