HARRIS COUNTY, TX – Dr. Matthews has released a vote guide covering 10 Harris County family court races on the November 2026 ballot. In a public statement, she said she and her court watchers have observed proceedings involving some of the courts and that her own experiences raised concerns.
The guide marks four candidates “Do not vote.” Dr. Matthews said she intends to present court records, transcripts, documents and firsthand observations behind her concerns. She encouraged voters to research each candidate and decide for themselves.
The names in the table follow Harris County’s official sample ballot. The graphic lists three names differently, including “Diane Curvey,” “Linda Maria Damon” and “Rosa Cardenas.” It leaves both candidates in the 245th race unmarked, and Dr. Matthews’ statement does not explicitly endorse every unmarked candidate.
