HOUSTON, Texas — A man about 40 years old was found deceased from gunshot wounds in an alley behind the Fredy Bar and Grill game room on Veterans Memorial Drive. Deputies responded to the shooting around 7:30 p.m. earlier this evening.

According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, investigators believe an altercation began at the game room. They have not determined whether the shooting happened inside or outside.

An anonymous caller reported the shooting to 911. No witnesses were at the scene when deputies arrived. Investigators are looking for people who were there earlier and reviewing surveillance video. They had not confirmed how many people were involved.

The man’s identity has not yet been released.
