Man killed on Houston’s east side after asking suspect why he was at residence, police say

HOUSTON, Texas — A man was killed in a shooting in the 5300 block of Harrisburg Boulevard on Houston’s east side around 9:30 p.m. Oct. 10.

Police said the victim asked the suspect why he was at the residence because the suspect did not live there. The verbal altercation became physical, and a gunshot was heard before the victim fell.

Responding officers found the man with a gunshot wound to the head. He was transported to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead upon arrival.

While officers interviewed witnesses and obtained a brief description of the suspect, another shooting call came in about a mile east of the original location.

TAC officers responding to the second call found an adult man with a gunshot wound to the foot who matched the suspect’s description. Officers detained him, and he was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
