Santa Fe man charged with felony theft after search warrant execution

SANTA FE, TX – A Santa Fe man has been arrested and charged with felony theft following the execution of a search warrant by the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office.

According to the Galveston County Sheriff’s Office, on June 6, 2025, the Major Crimes Unit was investigating a burglary that led to a search warrant being served at 3420 Avenue L in Santa Fe. During the operation, detectives with the Major Crimes Unit, Gulf Coast Auto Crimes Task Force, and Crime Scene Investigators recovered a stolen truck, boat, motor, trailer, and a four-wheeler from the property.

The homeowner, Patrick Hardy, 59, was arrested and charged with two counts of Theft of Property valued at $2,500 to $30,000, with bond set at $50,000 for each charge. He also faces one count of Theft of Property valued at $750 to $2,500, with bond set at $7,500.

Tonya Spivey, 56, who was present during the search, was taken into custody on an outstanding warrant for Possession of a Dangerous Drug.

The investigation remains active. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
