One dead, two injured after shooting outside Stampede Houston on Eastex Freeway

HOUSTON, TX – The Harris County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting that left one person dead and two others injured early Sunday morning outside Stampede Houston.

The shooting occurred around 1:37 a.m. in the parking lot of Stampede Houston, located at 11925 Eastex Freeway. Deputies with the Harris County Sheriff’s Office arrived to find an off-duty deputy performing life-saving measures on a 25-year-old male with multiple gunshot wounds. The male was transported to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced deceased.

A 31-year-old female and a 19-year-old male also arrived at a nearby hospital for treatment related to the shooting.

According to investigators, an altercation occurred in the parking lot when an unknown person or persons opened fire, striking multiple individuals. The identity of the deceased is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
