HOUSTON, TX – A man was shot during a party at a Texas Southern University frat house early Saturday morning in the 3700 block of Wheeler Avenue.
Police said the victim, who was hosting the party, sustained a gunshot wound to the leg and was transported to a nearby hospital in stable condition.
According to investigators, the shooting occurred after a group of uninvited guests arrived at the frat house party and were asked to leave. The group became angry, and one individual retrieved a weapon from a vehicle. A physical altercation then broke out in the street between the two groups, and the suspect fired a single round into the crowd, striking the victim.
Police stated they have a good idea of who the suspect is.
