Two pedestrians shot after argument with scooter riders near Toyota Center

HOUSTON, TX – Two pedestrians were shot after an argument with a group of scooter riders across the street from the Toyota Center.

The shooting happened when four individuals on scooters got into a verbal argument with pedestrians. The suspects opened fire, striking a male and female in their early 20s. A third pedestrian was not struck.

Houston Fire Department crews transported both victims to the hospital, where they remain in stable condition.

A round may have struck a nearby hotel, but no one inside was injured.

Officials said there should be clear video evidence from downtown cameras in the area.
