SPLENDORA, TX – A man was arrested after police said he attempted to use an Uber driver to deliver a package containing narcotics.
According to the Splendora Police Department, the suspect arranged for an Uber to transport a box he claimed contained baby wipes. The driver became suspicious after noticing a strong odor from the package and instead brought it to the Splendora Police Department.
Upon inspection, officers said the box contained a large amount of methamphetamine and several THC cartridges concealed inside.
To complete the operation, officers told the suspect the Uber had broken down. When the man arrived to retrieve his package, he was taken into custody.
