ARROYO GRANDE, CA – One person was killed and another injured after a stabbing inside a home on Victoria Way late on September 18, 2025.

According to the Arroyo Grande Police Department, officers responded at approximately 11:47 p.m. to a 9-1-1 call regarding an intruder who entered a residence in the 600 block of Victoria Way and stabbed both occupants. Upon arrival, officers found two adults with stab wounds. First aid was rendered with assistance from Five Cities Fire and SLO Ambulance.
Both victims were transported to a local hospital. One of the victims later died from their injuries.
The suspect, identified as Fritz Schnoor, 35, of Oceano, was located nearby and taken into custody without incident. Officers from Grover Beach Police Department, Pismo Beach Police Department, and the San Luis Obispo County Sheriff’s Office assisted in the apprehension.
Police believe Schnoor acted alone, and there is no known threat to public safety.
Schnoor was booked into the San Luis Obispo County Jail and is being held without bail. He faces the following charges:
- PC 187(a) – Homicide
- PC 664/187(a) – Attempted Homicide
- PC 459 – Burglary
