HOUSTON, TX – A man was arrested after a vehicle was located in a ditch a couple of blocks from a hit-and-run crash in Houston.
The incident happened around 2:32 a.m. in the 2000 block of Bevis, where a female pedestrian was struck. According to police, a rideshare driver captured the collision on dashcam video. The driver fled the scene, and the woman was transported to a hospital.
Minutes later, officers found a vehicle in the 2200 block of Bevis. The driver was detained and the vehicle was brought to the auto-pedestrian crash scene, but as of the last check with HPD, no one has been detained in connection with the hit-and-run.
The investigation is ongoing.
