Two men charged with manslaughter in 2017 fatal shooting on Antoine Drive

HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against two suspects in connection with the 2017 fatal shooting of a man at 6610 Antoine Drive.

According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, the shooting occurred at approximately 11:55 p.m. on January 14, 2017. The victim, identified as 19-year-old Jeremiah Tillis, was driving through a business center parking lot when unknown suspects opened fire. Tillis was struck, lost control of his vehicle, and crashed into a sign post.

Following a joint investigation with the Spring ISD Police Department, detectives identified Antonio Diecarlo Hughes and Jason Wells, both 26, as suspects. On September 15, charges of manslaughter were filed in the 337th Criminal District Court.

Wells is currently in custody of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice on unrelated charges. Hughes was arrested on September 18 and booked into the Harris County Jail.
