SANTA MARIA, CA – A 17-year-old male on probation for prior weapons violations was arrested after Santa Maria Police responded to reports of a laser being pointed at vehicles and pedestrians.

On Sunday, September 21, 2025, at approximately 10:46 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 300 block of Lolita. During the investigation, they contacted the teen in the area. A subsequent search of his residence uncovered two loaded handguns, three loaded AR-15-style assault rifles, multiple high-capacity magazines, and ammunition. The recovered firearms included serialized, unserialized, and defaced weapons.
The 17-year-old was arrested for multiple weapons violations and booked into Juvenile Hall.
