GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, NJ – Two officers were injured while apprehending a juvenile male suspected of attempting to burglarize vehicles in the Millbridge neighborhood, according to the Gloucester Township Police Department.

Around 11:50 p.m. on October 3, officers responded to a report of suspicious individuals examining parked vehicles. Upon arrival, one officer located a male suspect hiding behind a boat in a driveway.
When officers issued verbal commands, the suspect fled, prompting a foot pursuit. Officers caught up to the suspect and subdued him. During the arrest, one officer suffered injuries to his knee and back, while another officer injured his hand.
Both officers were treated at a local hospital. The juvenile suspect was uninjured and later released to his mother after being charged with criminal attempt burglary, aggravated assault on law enforcement, and resisting arrest.
