BOONVILLE, NY – A 29-year-old woman was killed Tuesday afternoon in a multi-vehicle crash on State Route 12 in the Town of Boonville, according to Oneida County Sheriff Robert Maciol.

The crash occurred around 4:06 p.m. and involved four vehicles. An initial investigation determined that the woman was operating a 2011 Ford Taurus sedan southbound on Route 12 and had stopped to turn left into a residential driveway. While stopped, her vehicle was struck from behind by a 2024 Chevrolet pickup truck driven by Edward Wolf, 75, of Ohio, NY.
The impact pushed the Ford Taurus into the northbound lane, where it collided with a Jeep Compass driven by Thomas Kristoff, 59, of Boonville. The Taurus was then struck on the passenger side by a 2011 Ford F-350 pickup truck towing a utility trailer, driven by Robert Perry, 54, of Manorville, NY. The F-350 and the Taurus came to rest in a ditch on the north side of the roadway.
Boonville Fire and Ambulance personnel attempted life-saving measures, but the 29-year-old woman was pronounced deceased at the scene. Her identity has not yet been released.
Wolf was transported to Wynn Hospital by STAR Ambulance and is listed in stable condition. Kristoff and Perry were evaluated at the scene and declined further medical treatment.
Due to the fatality, the Oneida County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Unit, Forensic ID Unit, and the Onondaga County Medical Examiner’s Office responded to assist. State Route 12 was closed for several hours as deputies and assisting agencies conducted the investigation, which remains ongoing.
Further details, including the identity of the deceased, may be released at a later time.
