NATCHEZ, MS – Roeland Williams, the suspect in a fatal shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in Franklin County, has turned himself in to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, according to the Adams County Sheriff’s Office.

Authorities in Franklin County confirmed that Williams surrendered peacefully and is now in custody as the investigation continues.
Adams County Sheriff Travis Patten thanked the public and law enforcement partners for their cooperation throughout the search. “Your willingness to speak up and share information played a vital role in bringing this situation to a safe conclusion,” said Sheriff Patten. He also recognized the partnership of Sheriff Tom Tindle and the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office.
The Adams County Sheriff’s Office stated it will continue assisting Franklin County investigators as the case progresses.
