Four dead after shooting spree across southwest Houston and Sugar Land

HOUSTON, TX – A gunman went on a shooting spree across Sugar Land and southwest Houston Wednesday, leaving four people dead.

The first shooting occurred shortly before 1 p.m. in the 12900 block of Dairy Ashford Road near US 90 in Sugar Land. A woman was found shot inside her vehicle and later died at a hospital. The suspect fled the scene.

Around 1:45 p.m., the gunman arrived at a mechanic shop in the 13000 block of Fondren Road in southwest Houston. After an argument and a witness recording him, he opened fire and killed two men, including the shop owner.

A few miles away, at approximately 2 p.m., police responded to another shooting in the 8000 block of Creekbend Drive, where the gunman was found dead from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

Police are investigating the series of shootings. The identities of the victims and the suspect have not yet been released.
