Woman killed, man injured after shooting in parking lot of Club Aragon in southwest Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed and a man was wounded in a shooting that began in the parking lot of Club Aragon and continued to the 8500 block of South Gessner Road around 3 a.m. earlier this morning.

Houston Police responded to a shooting call and found a vehicle with multiple bullet holes. Inside, a female passenger was pronounced deceased at the scene from a gunshot wound to the upper body. The male driver was shot in the back and transported by Houston Fire Department crews to a nearby hospital.

Two additional passengers, one male and one female, were in the vehicle but were not injured.

According to police, the shooting began in the parking lot of Club Aragon, located in the 8100 block of Southwest Freeway. Investigators believe the incident started with an altercation between the deceased woman and another female, leading to both of their boyfriends drawing firearms and exchanging gunfire.

It is unknown if the club was open at the time. No suspects are currently in custody.
