HOUSTON, TX – An 18-year-old male was shot and killed during a possible shootout at the Cleme Manor Apartments in northeast Houston Thursday night.
The shooting happened around 10:22 p.m. in the 5300 block of Coke. Officers with the Houston Police Department’s Northeast Patrol Division arrived to find the teen with a gunshot wound to the upper abdomen. He was transported by the Houston Fire Department to a nearby hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Multiple types of shell casings, including pistol and AR rounds, were found at the scene. A nearby apartment was also hit by gunfire, but no other injuries were reported.
A witness who heard the gunfire described the scene as sounding like something out of Call of Duty, referencing the rapid and intense bursts often associated with the popular video game.
