KOOTENAI COUNTY, ID – A motorcyclist was killed in a head-on crash involving a truck near the Fernan Saddle area in the Coeur d’Alene National Forest.
The crash occurred on October 16, 2025, at approximately 3:15 p.m., according to the Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies and fire rescue personnel responded to the scene and located the male motorcyclist trapped beneath the truck. He was pronounced deceased upon their arrival.
The identity of the victim is being withheld pending next of kin notification.
The Kootenai County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Investigation Unit is investigating the incident.
