ASP investigating homicide after body found in ditch along Highway 256 in Lonoke County

ENGLAND, ARKANSAS — The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is investigating a homicide after a body was found in a ditch off Arkansas State Highway 256.

According to ASP, the Lonoke County Sheriff’s Office requested assistance around 12:30 p.m. on October 17, 2025. The body was located approximately one mile south of the Mulberry Cemetery.

The victim has been identified as 28-year-old Nathan Hall of Benton.

Special Agents with the Criminal Investigation Division have launched a homicide investigation. Hall’s body will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Laboratory to determine the cause and manner of death.
