SADDLE RIVER, NJ – A resident was bitten multiple times by an aggressive coyote while working in their yard on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, in the Oak Road area, according to Saddle River Police.

The animal reportedly knocked the victim to the ground during the attack. Responding patrol officers located a visibly sick coyote in the area that showed no fear of humans. The animal was euthanized at the scene and taken by TYCO Animal Control for testing.
The victim was transported to Valley Hospital for treatment.
Police are urging residents to use caution. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
