Man found deceased after pursuit and search in Frisco

FRISCO, TX – A 24-year-old man was found deceased from an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound following a multi-agency search that began after a vehicle pursuit in Frisco.

According to the Frisco Police Department, the incident began around 10:39 p.m. on November 5, 2025, when officers assisted the Texas Department of Public Safety in locating a vehicle that had evaded troopers during a pursuit entering the city. The vehicle was later found crashed on southbound Dallas Parkway near Warren Parkway.

The driver, identified as Marshawn Kneeland of Plano, fled the scene on foot. Frisco officers established a perimeter and initiated a search using K-9 and drone units. During the search, police learned that Kneeland had expressed suicidal thoughts. He was located around 1:31 a.m., deceased from what appeared to be a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

The Collin County Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the official cause and manner of death. The investigation remains ongoing.
