HOUSTON, TX – Charges have been filed against five suspects in connection with a fatal shooting that left one man dead and another wounded in the 200 block of Robmore Street on June 22.

According to the Houston Police Department, 19-year-old Christian Brizuela and 17-year-old Hanich Ramirez have been charged with capital murder in the 262nd Criminal District Court. Three additional suspects, all 16-year-old males, were referred to the Harris County Juvenile Probation authorities on capital murder charges.
The victim was identified as 18-year-old Nehemias Bonilla.
HPD Homicide Division Detectives C. Davidson and R. Bounds stated that officers responded to reports of a shooting around 5:20 p.m. and found Bonilla unresponsive in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at Robmore Street and Clark Road. He had suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A second victim, a 19-year-old man, was found nearby with a gunshot wound. He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Following an investigation, police identified Brizuela, Ramirez, and the three juveniles as suspects. After consulting with the Harris County District Attorney’s Office, all five were charged and taken into custody.
