HOUSTON, TX – A young Hispanic male was killed in a hit-and-run crash involving a red GMC pickup truck early Sunday morning in southeast Houston.
The crash occurred around 12:53 a.m. in the 7000 block of Kassarine Pass. According to police, the victim was struck by a red GMC pickup truck traveling at a high rate of speed. The victim was transported to Ben Taub Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Witnesses told police that a large party was taking place nearby, and the victim, who had been attending the gathering, was walking down the street when the truck passed and hit him.
The suspect vehicle is described as a red GMC truck with front-end and possible undercarriage damage. The suspected driver is believed to be a young Hispanic male.
Investigators are asking anyone with information about the vehicle to contact the Houston Police Department. The victim and suspect have not yet been identified, and the investigation remains ongoing.
