60-year-old woman charged with murder in fatal shooting of man on Sunflower Street

HOUSTON, TX – A woman has been charged in connection with the fatal shooting of a man in southeast Houston Monday night.

According to the Houston Police Department, the shooting occurred around 9:25 p.m. on November 10 in the 4600 block of Sunflower Street. Officers arrived to find 34-year-old Brenton Griffin suffering from a gunshot wound. The Houston Fire Department transported him to an area hospital, where doctors pronounced him deceased.

Court documents show that Roxanne Elaine Albert, 60, has been charged with murder in the 182nd Criminal District Court.

Records also indicate Albert has two prior felony convictions, one for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury in 1988 and another for evading arrest with a motor vehicle in 2007.
