Chemical spill shuts down roadway in Pasadena

PASADENA, TX – Next Wave Energy Partners reported a chemical spill at its facility at 601 N. South Street.

According to Next Wave, the spill occurred around 6:30 p.m. on November 25. Sirens, emergency vehicles, and increased activity were noted in the surrounding area as crews responded. The company stated that air monitoring is underway and that it is coordinating with local officials to address the situation.

A third-party environmental team arrived on scene and determined that a residual drip of product reached North South Street. The roadway has been shut down between the facility and State Highway 225 while cleanup operations continue. The company noted that only a residual drip of the chemical is present along the roadway.
