Surveillance images released of person of interest in fatal stabbing of Ambrosia Swain

HOUSTON, TX – Houston police have released surveillance photos of a person of interest in the fatal stabbing of 28-year-old Ambrosia Swain.

The stabbing occurred around 11:05 p.m. on December 8 in the 600 block of Hahlo Street near the intersection with Lyons Avenue.

According to the Houston Police Department Homicide Division, patrol officers arrived to find Swain suffering from multiple stab wounds. Paramedics with the Houston Fire Department transported her to Ben Taub Hospital, where she was pronounced deceased.

Witnesses reported that a Hispanic male, dressed in all black, fled the scene on foot. Further investigation determined that the man had been seen with Swain prior to her death and was later identified as a person of interest.

He is described as a Hispanic male between 5 feet 4 inches and 5 feet 7 inches tall.
