HOUSTON, TX – A woman was fatally struck by a vehicle after reportedly walking onto Highway 225 during an argument with her partner.
The incident occurred around 12:03 a.m. near Allen Genoa in southeast Houston. According to witnesses at the scene, a couple had pulled over to the right shoulder of the highway and were involved in a verbal dispute. The woman exited the vehicle and began walking into traffic.
She was struck by an oncoming vehicle and pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the striking vehicle exited the freeway at the next exit, called 911, and remained cooperative with investigators. That vehicle was located near Shaver Street and Jackson Avenue.
