HOUSTON, TX – A motorcyclist was killed after crashing into a tree along a residential section of Woodway Drive, according to the Houston Police Department.
The crash occurred in the 5900 block of Woodway Drive. According to HPD’s Vehicular Crimes Division, multiple witnesses reported seeing the motorcyclist traveling at a high rate of speed before losing control and crashing into a tree. The rider was pronounced deceased at the scene.
No other vehicles are believed to have been involved.
Police are continuing to investigate whether any other factors contributed to the crash. Residents in the area are asked to avoid the street while investigators complete their work.
