Woman fatally stabbed in field after earlier altercation at gas station

HOUSTON, TX – A woman in her late 20s was fatally stabbed near the 3300 block of Navigation Boulevard after a second encounter with a woman she had previously argued with at a nearby gas station.

According to the Houston Police Department, South Central patrol officers responded to a report of a stabbing in progress and arrived to find the victim with a stab wound to the upper right side of her chest. A friend was performing CPR at the scene. The woman was transported to a nearby hospital but was later pronounced deceased.

Investigators said the victim and suspect were involved in an earlier altercation at a nearby gas station. The victim later walked with her friend to a nearby field, where they encountered the suspect again, leading to another altercation that resulted in the stabbing.

The suspect fled the scene before officers arrived and is not currently in custody. She is believed to be a female known to be homeless in the area. The relationship between the victim and the suspect is currently unknown.
