HOUSTON, TX – A man was hospitalized after being shot during a gathering at an apartment complex in northwest Houston.
The shooting occurred around 9:30 p.m. at The Park at Malaga Apartment Complex, located in the 4300 block of Sherwood Lane.
According to police, the man was shot in the wrist and stomach area following an altercation with an adult female acquaintance. The woman fled the scene before officers arrived.
Houston Police officers rendered immediate medical aid until the Houston Fire Department arrived and transported the victim to a nearby hospital. He underwent surgery and is believed to be in stable condition.
The victim is believed to reside at the apartment complex where the shooting took place.
