HOUSTON, TX – A woman was hospitalized after being shot in the stomach during a domestic altercation outside the Missionary Village Apartments on Corder.
The Houston Police Department responded to the shooting call around 7:42 p.m. Friday evening. Upon arrival, officers found an adult female suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen.
She was transported to a nearby hospital and is reported to be in stable condition with injuries that are not considered life-threatening.
Investigators believe the incident stemmed from a domestic dispute between the victim and the suspect. The suspect initially left the scene, but the victim reportedly followed. During that second encounter, the suspect pulled out a firearm and shot the victim once.
The investigation is ongoing.
