HOUSTON, TX – Two people were transported to the hospital after a fire believed to have started as a vehicle fire spread to a home in the 12700 block of Huntington Venture Drive.
According to the Houston Fire Department, firefighters were initially dispatched to a car fire, but the call was upgraded en route to a house fire. A full box assignment was requested.
When crews arrived, they found two victims already outside the home. The individuals were treated on scene by EMS and transported to the hospital. Their current conditions and ages are unknown.
According to HFD, firefighters were able to quickly bring the fire under control. Cold weather contributed to heavy steam conditions, which can make it harder to assess fire activity. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
This is a developing story and more information will follow if it becomes available.
