Woman injured after irate customer refused service opens fire at Chacho’s Mexican Restaurant

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was injured after an irate customer who was refused service opened fire at Chacho’s Mexican Restaurant on the North Freeway.

The shooting occurred around 9:06 p.m. in the 5300 block of North Freeway. According to police, the customer became upset after being refused service inside the restaurant. He then went to his vehicle, retrieved a firearm, and fired in the direction of the restaurant.

An adult female customer in the parking lot was struck by the gunfire. She sustained one gunshot wound and was transported by the Houston Fire Department to a local hospital, where she was reported to be in stable condition.

The suspect had fled the scene before officers arrived. The Houston Police Department is investigating.
