HOUSTON, TX – A man was found shot in the middle of a street in a residential area of Houston.
The victim was discovered around 10:30 p.m. in the roadway near 12600 Brookglade Circle.
According to the Houston Police Department, the Houston Fire Department responded to a report of a person down after a passing driver reported seeing an individual lying in the road. When crews arrived, they located a male believed to be in his mid-50s suffering from trauma believed to be a gunshot wound.
The male was found lying in the middle of the roadway. His truck was located in a nearby parking lot.
Individuals in the area stated the man often came to the parking lot to visit with people and drink.
Surveillance video reportedly shows the victim possibly having words with two Black males who arrived in a white two-door sedan. Investigators said the video shows some type of disturbance, though it did not appear to be physical.
The individuals were later seen walking into the street where the shooting is believed to have occurred. Another individual was also seen on video near the front of a nearby store shortly before the incident.
