HARRIS COUNTY, TX – A man has been charged with murder following a fatal shooting during an altercation at an apartment complex in the Cypress area.

The shooting occurred at Regency Park Apartments on Regency Green Drive. According to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office, deputies responded to a life-in-danger call after a caller reported he had shot a male who was fighting him.

Deputies arrived within minutes, detained the shooter, and secured the weapon before rendering aid. The victim, identified as Anthony Perla, born April 29, 2007, was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect, identified as Christopher Jordan, born January 16, 2003, was arrested and charged with murder in connection to the shooting. He was booked into the Harris County Jail.

Preliminary information indicates both Jordan and Perla were inside a third male’s apartment before moving into the parking lot where the altercation occurred. A third male was also detained as homicide investigators continue gathering evidence.
