HOUSTON, TX – According to the Houston Police Department, in west Houston, a vehicle was preparing to turn from Westheimer onto South Kirkwood when it was struck from behind by a black sedan. This happened just before 2 a.m.

One person is dead following the crash at that intersection.

The impact resulted in one occupant being pronounced deceased.

Alcohol might be a factor involving the driver of the black sedan, and a DWI unit is investigating at the hospital.
