CROSBY, TX – A heavy police presence was reported on Stroker Road near Ramsey in Crosby after a crash involving a Houston Police Department patrol unit.

According to Precinct 3 deputies, an HPD patrol unit was involved in a crash at the intersection. The driver of the striking vehicle fled the scene but was quickly apprehended by Precinct 3 deputies.

The HPD officer was not injured in the crash.

Police said HPD will take custody of the suspect following medical clearance.
