HOUSTON, TX – Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to a shooting around 10 p.m. at the Pine Gardens Apartments located in the 8600 block of Pitner in northwest Houston.

When officers arrived, they found one adult male suffering from a gunshot wound. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. Another adult male suffered two gunshot wounds to the upper extremities of his body and was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition, but is now in stable condition.

Police said the victims and the suspect reportedly lived in the general area and were possibly drinking together before an argument occurred. Investigators said the victims were attempting to leave the situation when the suspect allegedly shot at them.

The surviving victim provided officers with a description of the suspect and the suspect vehicle.

The Houston Police Department is investigating the shooting.
