HOUSTON, TX – A man in his 20s was fatally shot during an argument outside a shopping center in west Houston.

The shooting occurred around 10:20 p.m. in front of a shopping center located at 2323 S. Kirkwood Road.

Police said the victim and suspect were believed to be acquaintances when they became involved in an argument. During the dispute, the suspect shot the victim.

The victim was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The suspect remained at the location and waited for officers to arrive.

The investigation is ongoing.
