HOUSTON — Officers with the Houston Police Department responded to the 6100 block of Marinette Drive in the Sharpstown area after reports that a pedestrian had been struck by a vehicle.

When officers arrived, the pedestrian was pronounced deceased at the scene.

According to police, the investigation later indicated the driver may have intentionally struck the victim. As a result, homicide investigators were called to the scene to take over the investigation.

Police have not released additional information about the victim, driver, or circumstances surrounding the incident. The investigation remains ongoing.
