HARRIS COUNTY, Texas — Harris County Sheriff’s Office homicide detectives have filed a murder charge against 19-year-old Enrique Aguilar in connection with the death of 17-year-old Angel Garcia, according to Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez.

Sheriff Gonzalez noted that Aguilar was charged on Wednesday, June 17, 2026, for his alleged involvement in Garcia’s death. Investigators said Garcia was murdered on Aug. 30, 2025, in the 14700 block of Waldine Street in north Harris County.

Authorities said Aguilar was already being held in the Harris County Jail on an unrelated murder charge previously filed by HCSO homicide detectives.

According to court records, that separate case involves the death of 17-year-old Mariah Alatorre, who was killed on Valentine’s Day, Feb. 14, 2026.

No additional details about either case were immediately released. Both investigations remain under review by HCSO homicide detectives.
